Utilizing our top-of-the-line wide-format printer, we are able to offer custom sizing for your custom images, including everything from a vast 80”x40” panorama of the Grand Canyon to a tiny print the size of a postage stamp. To ensure you pay only for what you get, our prints are charged by the square inch.  See our print media & pricing to find out more.

What is Giclee?

A giclée print is an authentic, digital reproduction and is printed directly on 100% cotton canvas or fine art paper using a fine art printer. Giclée (jee-clay) is French for “fine spray”, as millions of color droplets are used to saturate the substrate via thermal jets. This sophisticated digital technology offers precise, quality reproduction without the use of film or printing plates. Giclée printers have the widest color gamut available to capture and emulate bright, vibrant hues as well as subtle tonality and transition. They provide image quality with the archival standards demanded by the fine art industry.

Several Different Substrates To Choose From:
  • Canvas: Canvas: textured artist’s canvas with the look of a traditional canvas, treated with a laminate UV protection, and hand stretched onto wooden support. Great for a large variety of images from Landscapes to Portraits

Printing FAQs

Printing

Our turnaround time for paper prints and loose canvas is 3 business days, and 5-7 business days for stretched canvases.. Large quantities or photo editing can delay the finish date but we try our best to work within your timeframe.

Framing

Our framing turnaround time is 3-4 weeks, but we are able to work with your timeframe depending on the project.

Orders that need to be finished earlier than our turnaround time are subject to rush fees.

Printing

For paper prints we have a 25 % rush fee for two day, and 50% rush fee for next day turnaround. This can change with large sizes or quantities.
Framing
Rushed framing orders incur a fee depending on how quick the requested turnaround is. Keep in mind the scope of the project and availability of materials will play a major role as we are a custom shop and typically do not carry stock.

We do not provide same-day framing.

There is no minimum quantity to place an order, however our lowest price point is for an 8×10 print (80 sq. inches). Anything smaller is charged the same as an 8×10 so we usually recommend getting multiple small prints to get your money’s worth.

Any art photography/scan done with us comes with a proof on a paper of your choice. Otherwise we recommend purchasing an 8×10 print to have as a reference.

We do not embellish our canvas giclees but we can provide recommendations on what materials to use, and who can do the embellishing for you.

Our general recommendation is any file at 300 dpi can be sized up 3 times its size without losing much detail. Depending on the substrate you are printing on and the subject of the file there can be exceptions, our printer specialist will be happy to take a look at your file and let you know the best course.

Yes, we represent many artists that print limited edition prints.

We can guarantee your prints will look exactly the same regardless of when they are printed due to our regularly maintained calibrations and quality printing equipment.

We do not offer bulk pricing at the moment but we do offer a Professional Artist account in select cases. Contact us to find out more.

As long as you have the copyright to reproduce the image we can provide high resolution art scans/photography and print it for you.

Using Pigment based inks and archival papers our prints are rated to last over 100 years.

Depending on the substrate you print on, they can be quite delicate or sturdy. Being fine art giclees we do not recommend using them outdoors and ideally framing will provide all the protection it needs.

Files can appear slightly different depending on the screen you are using, send your file over to our printing department and we can tell you exactly how it will come out.

Depends. With rapidly advancing quality of phone cameras your photo can be good enough to print at larger sizes. To be sure, send your file over to our printing department and we can let you know for sure.

It is highly unlikely that a screenshot of an image will be good enough quality to print at a size larger than your phone screen.

No problem! Contact our printing department and we can work with you on sizing and your timeline.

As a custom shop we custom make every frame per order and do not carry readymades.
No, we do not carry art supplies. We are a custom framing and fine art print shop.
We currently do not have any art for sale, however we do have many artists that we print for and can direct you to their available pieces.
Yes we stretch canvas of any size and can build customer canvases as well.
We do not currently provide shipping for prints or framing. We do have a delivery service in the DFW area for framing projects.

FINE ART PAPER FINISHING OPTIONS

Additional borders

White space can be added outside of your image size, increasing the overall dimensions of the paper.  This finishing option is available for all fine art paper prints and is available in a range of standard and custom widths:

  • Borderless:  This is the default border option and is recommended for prints that are intended to go directly into a frame with no matting.  Your image goes to the edge of the paper with no additional white border.
  • ½” Additional Border:  This option is recommended for prints that are intended to go into a frame with matting, as the additional white space allows for more room to mount and mat the print without encroaching on the image itself.  Please note:  Adding a ½” white border increases the dimensions of your paper size by a total of 1” on both the height and width.  For instance, an 8×10 image with an additional ½” border would become a 9×11 piece of paper with an 8×10 image in the center.
  • 1” Additional Border:  This option is recommended for small fine art reproductions, as the additional space protects the edges of your image, allows room for signing and numbering the print, and provides ease in mounting/matting the print without encroaching on your signature.  Please note:  Adding a 1” white border increases  the dimensions of your paper size by a total of 2” on both the height and width.  For instance, an 8×10 with an additional 1” border would become a 10×12 piece of paper with an 8×10 image in the center.
  • Custom:  Custom border widths are recommended for prints of custom dimensions that you wish to make into a standard size without cropping, or for any custom border widths not listed above.

Deckled Edge

A deckled edge mimics the natural edge of handmade papers, for a more artisanal look than the standard straight-cut edge.  This finishing option is available only for 100% cotton rag fine art papers:  Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Satin, Canson Rag Photographique, Canson Platine Fibre Rag, Epson Hot Press Bright, and Epson Cold Press Bright.  Order prints with a deckled edge using our Custom Print Orders (linked) form.

Dry Mounting

Dry mounting provides support to your fine art print and prevents framed prints from rippling or sagging over time.  The dry mounting process adheres the print to the substrate using adhesive, which cannot be reversed without damaging the print.  This finishing option is only recommended for images that can be replicated.  Order dry mounting using our Custom Print Orders (linked) form.  Available in the following options:
