Our Story

Our mission is to educate our community and protect the integrity and value of artwork while elevating aesthetic qualities, utilizing key design principles and preservation-focused procedures held to the highest industry standard.

THE BEGINNING

Jerry and Barbara Cornelius founded Canyon Creek Art in 1995 on Alamo dr in Richardson, Texas. Jerry nurtured Canyon Creek Art and grew it into the highly regarded business it is today. He specialized in preservation framing and had an exquisite eye for detail and design. In 2017 he took Elida Capps under his wing, teaching her the techniques and knowledge he has amassed over the years. In 2021 Jerry and Barbara officially retired, transferring the shop to Elida, who strives to uphold the same values that Jerry grew the business with. Under the continued mentorship of Jerry, Elida continues to grow the business, building on top the strong foundation. Upholding the key principles Jerry’s work was founded on, she carries on the Canyon Creek Art legacy all while adding new insight into an age-old industry.

TODAY

Today, the team at Canyon Creek Art consists of seasoned art professionals; Oleg
Alexeev, Stephanie Gerhart, and Elida Capps. With their combined
expertise and dedication to the craft, they ensure that every client receives the same
level of exceptional service and quality craftsmanship that has made Canyon Creek Art
a leading name in the industry.
